TPI GOLF PERFORMANCE SCREENING
Most swing faults aren't a swing problem — they're a body problem. A TPI screening looks at how well your body actually moves, then connects what it finds to what shows up in your swing. It's run by Dr. Moore, a TPI Certified provider who has worked with tour-level golfers, using the same Titleist Performance Institute framework used across professional golf.
What Is a TPI Screen?
The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) screen is a physical movement assessment, not a golf lesson. It looks at mobility, stability, balance, and strength across the joints and movement patterns most connected to the golf swing, then maps what's found back to swing characteristics TPI has studied across thousands of golfers, from beginners to tour professionals.
It doesn't replace your golf instructor. It answers a different question: is your body actually capable of the swing you and your instructor are working toward, or is something physical getting in the way first.
Screening & Data
A Performance Exam ($199) includes the TPI screen, a forceplate assessment, and any therapy performed that same day — flat, no modality upcharge.
- Movement screen across the joints and patterns TPI ties to swing mechanics
- Forceplate data on how force moves through the ground during your swing
- TrackMan launch monitor numbers from the Performance Lab simulator bay
- One-on-one review of findings with Dr. Barton
- A take-home plan connecting what was found to what to work on next
Every Golfer, Every Level
Recreational Golfers
Weekend players who want to understand why certain misses keep repeating, and whether it's mechanical or physical.
Competitive & Tournament Golfers
Players preparing for competitive rounds who want a physical baseline alongside their swing work.
Junior Golfers
Young players building swing habits early, screened the same way any young athlete would be for any sport at Impact Performance.
Built Around the Performance Lab
The TPI screen connects directly to our TrackMan Golf Performance Studio, so the data from your assessment and the data from your swing live in the same picture. Members get 1 hour of simulator time included every week as part of their membership, used for practice, screening follow-ups, or just playing a round when the weather doesn't cooperate.
What to Expect
- Intake — a short conversation about your goals, your game, and anything that's bothering you physically
- Movement screen — the TPI assessment itself, run in the clinic
- TrackMan session — swing data captured in the simulator bay
- Review & plan — findings explained in plain language, with next steps
TPI Screening FAQ
Do I need a swing coach already?
No. Some golfers come in on their own, others bring findings back to an existing coach. Either works.
Is this covered by insurance?
Impact Performance operates on a self-pay, membership-based model rather than billing insurance. Pricing is listed above and on our membership section.
How long does a screening take?
Plan for a full Performance Exam visit — the screen, forceplate assessment, and TrackMan session are done together, not rushed between other appointments.
Do I need to bring my own clubs?
Bringing your own clubs is helpful so the TrackMan data reflects your actual equipment, but it isn't required for the movement screen itself.
