Common questions
What is Class IV laser therapy?
Laser therapy, also called photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive therapy that applies focused light energy to the body. “Class IV” is the highest-power classification for therapeutic lasers, which is why eye protection and trained operators are required.
What does a session feel like?
Most people feel gentle warmth, and some feel mild tingling. Sharp sensations or excessive heat are not expected. You and the provider wear protective eyewear, and you should tell us if anything is uncomfortable so the settings can be adjusted.
How long is a session?
Time depends on the size of the area. Sessions are typically a few minutes per area, within a visit that may include other services. We confirm timing when you book.
Is it safe, and who should not have it?
Laser therapy is used with eye protection and safety precautions by trained providers. It is not appropriate for everyone, so we review your health history first. Tell us about medications that make skin sensitive to light, implants or hardware, a history of cancer, and pregnancy.
How many sessions will I need?
That is decided after your in-person evaluation and varies by person. We do not promise a specific result. Laser is self-pay like everything else here: no insurance billing.
Self-pay pricing
Self-pay practice. No insurance billing.
